Ours are very simple - the kids have a specific bedtime so they know when its snack time, when its quite reading time and when they need to prepare for bed (brush teeth, wash up, etc.).

Our kids have always had a specific bedtime. When younger, then were in bed by 7:30 p.m. which gave dh and I some much needed quiet time. From Sept. to the end of June, they are in bed by 9:30 now that they are older. Summer, we relax and they go to bed around 10:15 - 10:30, depending on how tired they are.

I love bedtime routines.
