Exclamation You won't believe what my dd just said to me!!!!

Ok, get this! DD wanted to eat some pudding. I said sure! She said I'll have to use a measuring spoon to eat it with because all the spoons are dirty. I said, the dishes in the dishwasher are clean, get one from there. Then she says," Why don't you put the clean dishes up?" I said,"Why don't you do it? You know where it all goes." This is the kicker! She says,"You are the housemaid around here." I almost fell out of my chair!!! I said WHAT?!? She says,"Well you are the mom."

She is only six! How is that for a job title? I don't want her to think I am only a maid. Little does she know that that little remark just earned her a spot as maid's helper! We'll see how she likes that! LOL

LOL! It's funny how kids just assume things...I've been really cracking down on mine to clean up after themselves. I hope it works

Are you sure that wasn't my dd over at your house? We have this same discussion quite often. I have been known to go on strike and not do anything until I get respect and help.

Oooh yeah, they do assume that mom is the maid alright. We had many a heated discussion around this place over that very topic.

Like Darlene said "Moms Unite". I am on strike in my kitchen. DD does not do anything and I am waiting to see if she will lift a lazy little pinky finger to load the dishwasher. (I am probably just going to end up sucking it up and doing it myself, but guess who is NOT getting her new contacts for school, she is going to get to wear her glasses a while longer. )
