My twins had me in tears today!
But they were tears of joy! We have some friends that are going through a terrible time financially right now. Through a serious of events beyond their control, they have gotten way behind on the bills. The father just got a job in another town and will have to commute; he starts his job Wednesday. The wife called me today asking for prayer for her family. They have bills that need to be paid NOW, need money for gas so her hubby can get to work and just prayers for strength to get through all this. She is trusting God to meet their needs and just felt God wanted he to ask others to pray also. I shared with her how God has met our needs in the past when DH was layed up through many different ways. After I got off the phone with her, I told my boys what was going on and asked them to pray for her family also. The twins, bless their hearts, gave me $85 between them to give to her. They had been blessed with a very high paying job over the weekend and wanted to share that blessing with her and her family. They told me they remembered how people had blessed us when we needed help and they felt God wanted them to bless her. I included a note with the money explaining this to her along with a phone card, some tomatoes, a bit more cash and some nice hand cream to pamper herself with and sent it down.
I'm just so proud of those boys! I know they had other plans for that money and had worked hard for it. I also know that they have very tender and giving hearts and know exactly what our friends are going through right now. Going to get some more kleenex now to dry my tears. These are the moments that make you so proud to be a parent!

Thanks Ladies!
My friend just called to tell me that she and her husband were in tears when they opened the card, found the money in it and read the note. They were so touched that teenaged boys would do this for them. I called my husband at work to tell him what the boys had done and he was then in tears and told me he was so proud of them! Jaysn, our other son, is going to offer to mow their lawn for them to help them out. They have a huge lawn and I'm sure that will bless them also.

You have every right to be proud of your young men. You and Jeff are doing a great job of raising caring, responsible young men.
Maybe they need a special dessert tonight!

Gemma is a siamese/gray tabby mix. She looks more siamese than anything (with the brown coloring). Gracie is a long haired gray cat with white near her eyes (she has really beautiful big eyes). Gracie's babies are : Molly (looks like a gray wookie) and Daisy (dark striped tabby with black, white and copper coloring).Originally posted by SewCrafty
