What things does your spouse do that makes you want to strangle them?
Gabe gets preoccupied with work and forgets small things that I wish he'd remember.
Example: Something I had just mentioned in a previous talk.
Trash day, mowing the lawn, appointments, household help type things.
I know he's working hard for all of us, but when I feel like a single parent or responsible for things to the point of feeling overwhelmed, I could just strangle him.

Joe ALWAY'S say's....."with my next bonus check I am going to pay off such and such credit card" WRONG. when that bonus check come in he turns into a little kid. With his last 2 he has bought EXPENSIVE bicycles (one for the road and a mountain bike, even though we don't live in the mountains anymore).
He forgets stuff I ask or tell him . Then acts like I never said anything.
He refuses to do the housework (even though he's home all the time and I work 60-80 hours a week) He claims he doesn't LIKE to do housework - like I do!
He screws up the budget and then tells me I need to work more overtime to cover the bills.
DH will put routinely stuff on my nice clean countertop. It drives me CRAZY. I'll spend an hour scrubbing the kitchen down, leave the room, come back, and he'll have dropped the mail, his empty pop can, and some tools on the counter already. Someday I'd like to have the counters stay cleared off for more than two minutes.
He also has a habit of leaving paper plates, wrappers, etc on those same counters instead of turning around and walking the two feet to the trash can. Grrrrrrrr......

If it were not for the kids we would hardle ever fight around here. Other than the fact that I have to have everything my way, which he usually goes for in the end anyway.
My dh CONSTANTLY complains about my boys' room. I do when the dirty clothes begin to stink. I mean honestly, if they want to be in there in a hug mess, I just shut the door. The days of me cleaning their room are long gone...NO WAY. Dds #1 is busy with senior year in HS, a job and a steady girlfriend, the last thing he worries about is his messy room. Ds#2 is not as capable, because I gave up trying to domesticate him, he is a wild animal I guess. One day he will grow out of it (I hope )
Dh gripes about that room as soon as he rises each day and that is the last thing he does before going to bed at night. I have gotten pretty good at tuning it out.

When something spills or some minor accident thing he freaks."blah blah blah this never happens to me" Oh you can bet when it does happen to him I smile sweetly and say..."Oh, it's OK dear. Accidents can happen to anyone, even you."
Sometimes hate to watch the news because he's yelling at the TV.
There's more but I think that's enough for now.

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." ~Leo Buscaglia
There are two things:
1.) Dh procrastinates big projects until the last minute and I get SO stressed about it. For example: we've got a baby coming in a month and a half. Half of the furniture for the nursery is still in the basement. I need it upstairs. I'm off work for the next week for Holiday break and I really wanted to work on the nursery, but can't because the freaking furniture is in the basement!!! He keeps saying how much time we have, but I really want it done!
2.) He gets preoccupied with little things while doing other things. Example: We'll be on our way out the door and will finally almost be on time for something ( I HATE being late...he's always running late) and he'll notice a lightbulb is out. He'll have to change it RIGHT THEN, but of course, can't find the lightbulbs, so it takes longer than it should and then we're late. UGH!
Now this may sound stupid to a lot of you, but in a house with 10 cats who love to follow you around, (and he KNOWS it) it can be mighty upsetting! I think he steps on or trips Squeaky (his shadow) at least 10 times a day and then blames HER, at the top of his lungs of course!!
Drives me crazy!

Don't forget to do self examinations monthly and have regular mammograms!
He starts a sentence and then stops like he's distracted and I'm supposed to wait until he finally gets around to finishing what he was saying. Drives me crazy Or he'll call my name and I'll say "what" and then he won't answer til I go where he is and say "what" again.

Okay, I'm the guilty party in this case! Not finishing sentences is a bad habit in my family.

I am with Debbie and Robin on this one. I like to pick my battles with the boys and he just like to battle with DS#1. He will even battle over the smallest of things.

and that's been happening here a LOT lately.
I also hate when he disagrees with someone about something but doesn't say anything, so they think that he's on board with them. Drives me nuts, especially when it's me that's asking him to do something or trying to make plans, etc.
