Did you go on a honeymoon?
Gabe and I didn't, but our wedding wasn't traditional either. We didn't have any family at our wedding and there's no way we could have afforded a trip anywhere.
We had a wonderful wedding day though and I don't regret that we didn't go on a honeymoon. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. We went to DisneyWorld in Florida for a week. We saved and saved so we could go. He had been when he was 7 and I had never been. It was so magical to experience it all with him. He always laughs and says that I was like a little kid the whole week. We want to bring dd, but with the new baby, we are going to wait until they are both old enough to enjoy it. Gives us PLENTY of time to save! Maybe for our 10th anniversary.

We went to the Smokies to get married (no family or friends with us) and then honeymooned there for 4 or 5 days. I just love the Smokies!!! We keep talking about going back and it's not even that far away ~ it's just finding the time to get away!

No, we just bought our house and figured it was better to spend our money there. Turned out to be a good investment , we bught it & paid in the mid 40's and sold 9 years later in the $85,ooo range.

We went to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for a long weekend. It's one of our favorite places to go, we go several times a year.

No we didn't. We eloped and didn't have any money to go on a honeymoon. There is a long story to the whole thing and when I look at it now I can laugh. Then I didn't. I didn't mind eloping though.

We went up to Kimberly, British Columbia and stayed at a ski resort there. Neither of ski, but we still had a wonderful time exploring the town and taking in the fantastic views of the Rocky mountains. We also had a picnic on the shores of a very frozen Lake Wasa! Very romantic and we didn't have to share the beach with anyone!!!
We've since gone back up and taken the kids with us. They fell in love with Kimberly as we had. After this year's Christmas fiasco, we are looking at going back up and spending Christmas up in that area in 2005!

We went to the Bahamas for 5 days. Stayed on Paradise Island. It was great. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort where the food and drinks were included in the price. I wish that we could go back and visit. But, I don't see that happening for a while. We had wanted to go back for the 10 year anniversary, but that is next year, and I don't see it happening.
