Question Teething & fever~ when to worry?

Maria is teething (1 in so far!) and has been running a fever and very lethargic since last evening.  It was 100.8 last night, which didn't change after a dose of Tylenol- four hours later it was still the same.

Right now she's curled up in my lap asleep-- something she never does!

So, I'll keep giving her the Tylenol and let her rest~ this is normal, right?  I remember the pediatrician saying not to worry about a fever unless it gets up to 104 or so.

(You experienced moms probably think I'm silly, but, that's ok!)

104? that seems a bit high. mine said 102, but it could be a case of different pediatricians, different rules. I know my kiddos ran fevers when they teethed. Hannah got 4 teeth two at a time. then ALL the rest came in; Erick got two at a time right after another for a bout two months. they ran fevers the whole time. low fevers. I think i bugged the doc every week day the whole time. But he said the fevers are perfectly normal and would eventually respond to the tylenol. I wouldn't worry, try to get her to rest as much as you can, and i bet she will feel better really so, or as soon as the tylenol kicks in. Have you tried teething biscuits? DS liked them frozen, bananas too. slice them into big hand freindly chunks then freeze em solid, ds loved em. Hannah loved "freezies" I don't know how to describe them, they are freezeable teething rings, made with a super thick plastic that won't crack and the cannot bite through. but they are in big, can't swallow shapes. I don't remember the brand name, but we called them freezies at home. That helped the pain in their mouths.

Great advice. Our pediatrician said that any fever over 101.5 warrents a call to the dr. I would just keep and eye on her.IF she seems lathargic, her fever get over 101.5 I'd call the dr.But other than that sooth her and keep down the fluids. With so many viruses you can never be too careful.
