Default Things I've learned about friendships...

Friendships are very special things and very fragile at times. Here are a few things that I have learned over the years:

    1. You are very blessed to find a soul mate kind of friend. They are the ones that know you, faults and all and still love you no matter what! Some people go their whole life without that kind of friend. I am blessed to be married to mine.

    2. Some friendships are "for a season" in our lives. We all change and go through things like moves, raising families, etc. that may change our relationships with others. I feel so blessed to have had certain people in my life, even if only for a season. I know that God sent them to me to help me grow.

    3. There are some friendships that last a lifetime. You may not see that person for years, but the friendship remains strong even if you live totally different lives. I have a friend like this that I love dearly! We've been there for each other through everything over the years since she was 2 1/2 and I was 3! I'm a SAHM and she's a very successful business woman who has just found the perfect man for her to spend the rest of her life with. I'm so thrilled for her!!! We've mourned together over the loss of her brother and celebrated the birth of my children. She will always be in my heart and in my life.

    4. Some friendships end tearfully and are very painful. I'm sure we have all been there. Sometimes it is through betrayal and sometimes it's through huge differences that just cannot be overcome for one reason or another. We just need to remember to be thankful for what we learned through that relationship.

    5. For me the most important "friendship" or relationship I have is with Jesus Christ! What he did for me and for you on that cross over 2000 years ago speaks so much of His love for us! He literally layed down his life for ours! I cannot even fathom all the He went through for me and there are no words to express my gratitude and love for him.
