Default I am having a FIT

today is going badly. The kids are driving me straight up my walls...and back down again.

First of all Hannah won't stay dressed.
Second, part A, Erick broke a figureine, and tried to hide it by flushing it down the toilet
Second, part B, the toilet is jammed with figurine that i cannot get out
Third, while i was in the bathroom fighting with the toilet, Hannah smeared pop tarts into the living room carpet
Fourth, While I was cleaning the carpet, Erick dumps out the toybox in Hannah's room and refuses to clean it up
Fifth, Hannah is tearing apart the hat and mitten box in the living room while I am cleaning up in the bedroom
Sixth, she refuses to clean up
Seventh, Hannah has decided to take great delight in screaming at the top of her lungs "no, no, no, no, no, no" and whining about every little thing.

Doesn't help that i am sick...

Oh - my- goodness!!! You sure DO have your handsfull. I would be such a wreck. I'd be sending everyone to timeouts so that i could run away from the messes (to the broom closet or something) and close my eyes really tight and imagine I'm somewhere far away

I hope you feel better too. Man some days are just plain rough huh. Hang in there and just remember it's just a mess, and it's just a toilet uh-oh, wait, do you have more than one toilet?

I am trying to go to my own little world, calgon take me away. I am thinking that the broom closet idea doesn't sound so bad at all!!! We have a second bathroom, i might lock myself in there when they nap. I have given them lunch and she is 5 seconds from going to bed for a nap.

I am sure I can add to the list here soon. doesn't help that it is tooo cold to let them play outside (30 degrees)

LOL, sure Michelle, it works for me!

Oh big hugs sweetie. My 24 yr old keeps his clothes on now, but when he was two to three he was his own personal nudist colony. He didn't jam pop tarts into the carpet, he merely stole my screwdrivers and "coovered" as he put it around the house. Nothing with screws was sacred.

Now he is a dignified banker in training! Wears a suit and tie, and has a nice haircut and is so polite. Nothing at all like the little wild man he used to be.

    Deep deep breaths.

I think I can handle the nudist problem....as long as it doesn't last into the twenties!

I called dh, he will pick up a new wax ring tonight and fix this toilet. I got out a scrub brush and scrubbed the carpet, and blotted it dry. I think I have gotten out all of the pop tart jam. Hannah is in her crib, and Erick fell asleep watching me work on the carpet. So for right now, all has calmed down. Knock wood.

Thanks ladies for all the support, it's good to know I can come here and vent when the kids drive me batty.

Big Missy! I'm glad you are finally getting a break while the kids nap. I promise you that years from now you will laugh about all of this. But right now, in the heat of battle, it doesn ot seem funny at all. Been there myself many, many times.

I have a magnet on my fridge that says that, i love it.

Well, dh came and picked up ds to take him to the hardware store to pick up a new wax ring for the toilet. DD is having a temper tantrum at this very minute because she didn't get to go too. (Dh walked in on her other tantrum when he came home and wasn't about to take Ms. Tantrum - no special treats for tantrums or bad behaviour) so she has been having a "on-the-floor-kicking-and-screaming-"tantrum for the last minute or so. I think it will be so much better at bed time!
