So sad...a friend just walked out on her hubby and kids.

I just found out last night that a friend of mine walked out on her hubby and kids. She has been very "distant" lately with some of us who have been her friend for years, prefering to spend her time with people who are more "negative". It's so sad because she and her hubby have made it through rough times before (brought on by her extended family) and they both have very big and loving hearts. I'm just at a loss as to why she would do this. I also found out today that a young couple down the road from us are getting divorced.

This is so sad! She would have to be pretty desprite to do something like this! How many children do they have? Had they been married long? It makes my heart hurt when I hear things like this! I wonder if she thinks she's going to a "better" life then the one she had?

I'll be praying for their children.

She has 2 children ages 10 and 8. The other couple has a 5 year old. I know that in my friend's case, her husband has been a good husband according to what she has told all of us and is devoted to her and the kids.

That is awful. I had a friend in school who's dad walked out on there family and it was a while before she started coping with it.

In situations like this I feel for the children. Poor babies.

I agree. It's so sad. I wish people would stop and think what they're doing to their children, when they decide to walk out on their families. Some people only think of 'me,me,me'. Makes me ill.
Of course,I understand in cases of abuse or infidelity, sometimes divorce is the only answer.

It seems like barely a day goes by without hearing of a situation like this. My heart goes out to them, especially to the kids.

I am sure her DH and kids are at a loss. I will be praying for them all.

My SIL did the same thing to my BIL a few years ago. She said she was going to work and left him with the 4 girls and never came back. Of course, he finally found her and they are now divorced and he still has the girls.

I do wonder what would make her do that, and not only does my heart break for her children but even for her.

I hope something works out and she gets help. Sound like she may need some.
