Question How many kids did you PLAN on having and....

How many kids do you have?

I know we did something similar to this before, but we have so many new members I thought it would be fun to do again.

I planned on 12, but we ended up with 3 biological and 3 adopted.

    You?

I planned on 6 bio, but was only able to have 2 bio. We'll see what the Lord has in our future for either adoption or foster care. I'm really interested in Healing the Children, a program where children from impoverished countries are flown to the States and given the medical treatment they need. The children stay with host families who take them to all of the many appointments and do post-op care. When both kids are in school full time this sounds like something that I could do.

Growing up, I wanted three boys. Once I grew up and met Rob, I started thinking more realistically. We planned on at least two...had a tough time getting pregnant with both of them (we're very blessed to have them) and I don't know that I want to go through all that again. I feel like our family is complete with the two we have.

We actually thought I couldn't get pg so, we eventually decided to adopt after I finished my degree. We never really decided on a number... I always teased 5 though. A few months later I was pregnant. Then 18 months later I was pg again. Dh then said all the babies we could have until he turned 35. He was 34 when our 2nd was born. So, he said no more but yet neither of us did anything to prevent and I'm due in September with our 3rd. I'm not sure if we are really done or not. Dh and I were talking about it recently and he mentioned a fourth to keep the numbers even. So, who knows?

    I'm not done yet!

I have one so far... would like to have 4-5. I'm not sure that's possible as it took a long time (3 years) to get pregnant with DD and there were many complications, but, ideally, I'd like to have a big family.

I have 4 babies in heaven, I'm from a large family and I know how much fun and all the fights kids have, there is nothing like it. lol

I am now at the age that if I don't have a child here on earth within the next few years it won't happen and we don't have the finances to afford a traditional adoption.

I wanted 2-3 kids, my dad was an only child and my mom was 1 of 4 so I wanted to be somewhere in the middle. I also planned on having all the kids I wanted before I turned 30 but unless we end up with twins or triplets that might not happen since I will be 28 in 2 months still have no kids and wanted there to be at least 2-3 years between them all.

DH and I want to possibly adopt, but we really want to get some land or buy a house or something first. A lot harder than it sounds around here so that means we may move to CO...not sure. Anyway I was pregnant when I was 26 and had a miscarrage. We were very excited about it, but we truly wanted to adopt at some point in our lives. We always talked about all of the children that need good homes that don't have families. Well next week we will both be turning 34 and so I'm not sure what the future will hold for us regarding children, but we bothe love children.

I had always wanted 2, a boy & a girl. But as some of you know we are going thru fertility treatments and now I will be happy to just have one.

The most I ever wanted was 2. I have 3.

Had dd(13yo) when I was 20, actually PLANNED Jason(survival to 3rd bday still pending) and had him when I was 30. Then Ryan sneaked in and had him last year and he'll be 1 the day before Jason's 3rd bday.

Certainly wasn't going to have another baby anytime soon after dd and thought at 9yo she was sleeping over friends' houses, doing her own thing, yadda yadda- "I'll have plenty of time for a baby now" All was going eh okay until one day, when I don't know what in the sam hill my dumba** husband was thinking, I'm pregnant again. After I've been telling people for years that I could never have 2 in diapers and I don't know how other people manage to do it, there I was. Meanwhile, he was telling everyone WE PLANNED IT!! Notice he said "we". I thought that maybe he was just trying to cover himself but when I asked him point blank and he said "yes" he got slugged.

At first, we wanted 4, and God blessed us with 4, but now, I would like to have 6 or even 8, but at my age, it's not very likely.
I do provide child care for my dgs age 19 mos and my other ds and ddil are expecting a girl next month. I will provide child care for her, too. So, in a way, I will have 6,lol.

We planned on two and have two. a boy and a girl. With how rough the pregnancies were on me, we are surely done, knock wood.
