    Default popcorn kernel adventure

Well, today Alexandra stuck a popcorn kernel in her nose. She got it lodged pretty well in there and I thought for sure we'd be making a trip to the dr.

She was trying to blow it out herself, but wasn't having much success.

We decided to try closing off one nostril and breathing through her mouth and it finally came flying out. lol

I just couldn't believe she did it and I was getting so worried, but now it's just funny.

I've been calling her "kernel" all day now. lol

Glad you didn't have to take her to the hospital to get the kernal out.

DH stuck one in his ear when he was little and they had to take him to the hospital to get it out.

It was like a 3 ring circus with the baby as the star of the show. I kept telling her to blow and she'd do her small tiny blow which did absolutely nothing. She was sneezing and kept trying to get it out herself. I was having visions of her with this kernel lodged in her nose at the dr office or worse FOREVER! rofl

At one point, I had tweezers and was debating trying to get it and thought what the hell am I thinking? lol She has about the smallest nostrils!

I kept thinking she's going to inhale this kernel, I just know it. lol

It was just like the scene on Mrs. Doubtfire with the way this kernel went flying out of her. I was laughing and so relieved.

She was so happy when it was out. I wish I had the camera when she had her arms up and said Yay! It was just too funny.

Should I have the kernel bronzed?

A little too much excitement in Pleasantville.

I can,t help myself to laugh! I can just see her, saying *Yay!* How cute she must have been, Sara. I'm glad she's ok.

Ok, now...everyone, you really got me laughing with your stories! lol Actually, we experienced this same type of adventure too, with Mathieu, our second son....

He stuck 2 mini legos in his nose....you know the round ones which are supposed to be a little *light* Well, we did end up in the ER of the children's hospital, because it was stuck deep in his nose--two of them. The dr had a hard time getting it out---with his last try he had told us, if it didn't work, he would need surgery to get it out....well, it came out, finally!

    ....ah kids....

I forgot to say...he was 2 years old when this happened. No wonder they say on small toys, *not safe under 3 yrs old*
