    Default Maternity and baby clothes??

To all you moms, did you hold on to your maternity and baby clothes after you were done with them just in case you had another baby? Did you know you were going to have another one or just kept the stuff "in case"?

We had thought that we were going to have two pretty close together but now were not even sure if we are going to have another one. If we do have another one, it will be a couple of more years at least.

I have a bunch of maternity and baby clothes that dh has outgrown and could use the money but I don't know if I should sale them or not?

    Need advice and opinons here...lol...

Well I hung onto mine, but thing is, if dd had taken any longer being conceived, I probably would have sold them, and re bought later.

Consignment shops are good places to buy, and stuff does go out of style.

If you get rid of it in a consignment shop, save a piggy bank for rebuying stuff later.

Don't get rid of anything really special like a dress that makes you look and feel like a million bucks,-- you can't find those easily, and that you just may regret, just the things that you were mighty tired of seeing when you had the last baby.

Your dh outgrew which - the maternity or the baby clothes?!?!

    I held onto mine....
I had sets that I wore with Katie & Belle both - that was the coolest...
Kate (at 7) got to hear stories about "when you were in momme's tummy, I wore this when I met Roy Rogers..." etc....
She got a kick out of it & I thought the "nostalgia" was awesome!!

I still had those outfits when I found out I had cancer....
I didn't sell them &/or donate them until after my hysterectomy!
    Guess I was clinging, huh?!

Still though, I have my favorite Snoopy sweatshirt that I wore when I was preggers through all 7 of my pregnancies & I refuse to part with it! It could dry rot & fall into a million pieces - I'll sweep 'em up & store them in a zippie bag!!

My advice - if you think you're ever goning to have another, keep them...
I understand you need the money now, but maternity clothes certainly don't get any cheaper!

I gave away all my maternity clothes. I only saved special baby clothes that dd wore. All the clothes that ds outgrows go to my cousin and her baby. Of course, I know we are done.

I'd hang on to those maternity clothes. They're just too expensive to replace! Especially the pants if they were comfortable. The baby clothes though, I know I got enough clothes for the first 6 months as gifts for each of mine. They are easy enough to get at garage sales and such too.

I knew dd was the one and only, so I gave away all the maternity clothes. I held onto any baby clothes that were special and the others I gave away as well.
