I just want to share this picture with you all.... I am soooo excited. As you know we went to our family reunion this weekend...well as it turned out...the other side of my family were having their reunion on Sunday....we have not seen these people in years.... so me and ds and my sister went.... I talked to my dads cousin who said she has tons of picture and a family tree that she would be glad to share with me....

anyway, she sent me this picture...it is of my great, great, grandparents..... I have never seen a picture this old of my family...its really exciting and I just had to share...hope you don't mind...

How nice of her to share that with you. I love looking at older pictures that share history of a family. I think they should be cherished.

I love seeing pictures like these. My aunt let me scan a picture of my great grandparents-- it's been my avatar for about a month.

How exciting for you to find all this information about that side of your family. I love geneology, it is so fulfilling and rewarding to find your roots. It just seems to make you feel more grounded as you find more and more information.

I love looking at old pictures like this. Thanks for sharing.

Our town put together a book about the first people to move here, what the town looked like etc....I wasn't born here but I could stare at those pics allday. I could get lost in the pics. I just stare at the people and wonder what they were thinking. Maybe what they had done before sitting for the pic, what they did on a day to day basis. I just love the "way back when" times lol
