Tomorrow is the Big Day
How did summer go by so quickly? Tomorrow is Ryan's first day of 6th grade at her new school. I'm not sure who is more nervous, me or her. She only goes 2 hours tomorrow (Friday) and then starts full time on Monday. Please send happy thoughts our way that she loves her school, makes lots of friends, and has a really great year. If you have time add a few happy thoughts that we both adjust to the drive and our new routine. Here is her cutsie pic that we took today. She's been at work with me all week and I think she's about bored stiff.

I should have said that she will be starting Sacred Heart Catholic School and it's her first time at parochial school. I'm taking tomorrow off from work and while she's at school for the 2 hours, I will be checking out the Goodwill in that town. (Gotta do something to cheer me up - right).

Aaaw, I know how hard it is Pat. She'll be fine and will probably flourish. It's just mom that will be a bit blue......"sniff" .
It seems to go more quickly the closer you get to the end of the school years. I think because you have to do so much more......Enjoy!

I know, Pat, the summer flew by here. I'm so sad for it to end
I thought I'd be ready for Kathryn to go back to school, but I'm not.
I wish her the best of luck--she's going to be just fine, and you will be too
That picture of her is beautiful....

I'm wishing all kinds of fun adventures ahead for her for this school year. Have fun Ryan!
Big hug to you Pat, your baby is growing and changing & learning and will find her way with the love & guidance of those who love her.

Sorry it took so long to update, but our internet was down part of the weekend.
Ryan absolutely LOVED her school on Friday. It was so wonderful that she couldn't wait to go again today.
When we got there on Friday, she got scared and froze up and wouldn't move. She needed to get in her class's line in the gym but just wouldn't budge. Finally these 4 angels came over and introduced theirselves to Ryan and asked if she was going to be in their class and would she like to sit with them. I could have handed those girls a million dollars if I'd had it. They were so nice and mannerly too. Ryan went over and sat with them and they all were talking up a storm. I walked on out and then snuck back in just to make sure she was okay and she was smiling and talking to them.
When I came back to get her at 11:00 (only 2 hours on Friday - full time today), she was practically dancing she was so happy. She loved everything and everyone and thoroughly enjoyed the liturgy service and understood what was going on.
She looked so adorable in her uniform and I am so thankful for all the good thoughts and prayers that were offered up for us. Thanks guys!!!

That's great news!!!
I'm so happy for you both.
Knowing she's so happy makes that extra drive alot easier to take, right Pat?
