    Default A BIGGGGG divorce lesson!

The kids and I have been going through the baby boxes and albums and updating/ whatnot. Aimee pointed out that Damon's box wasn't as full - and I said well, he's the youngest. then she said you know it seems you quit taking as many pictures around the time that we went to the new school. HOLY crap!! Thats when I left their daddy. How could I be so insensitive?? Sometimes it takes such an umnopinionated little suggestion to point out something that is blatantly horrible!! I am trying to fix this mess now - but I thought I would say something before anyone else gets caught up in the stuff of life and forgets to do the normal (and oh so important) things!!

I havent been through a divorce, but I have noticed the more kids I seem to get the less pictures I am taking. Just so much to do now. More to clean, more food to be cooked, more laundry(lots more). It is neverending.

Same here. I have hundreds of pictures of Ashley at all different stages of her life. The last pic I have of Katie is when she was 7 months old.Jackson....3 months old..and Jayme...3 months old.
Our last family pic was made when Katie was 7 months old and I don't have not one pic of all my kids togther
    How sad is that

I was talking to a teacher one time and she was telling me about how she and her sister fought over a picture (after thier mom passed) of the teacher when she was a baby and her sister was holding her, well her sister wouldnt even let her copy it and she has no other pics of her as a baby. After that story i started to double pictures and i'm beginning to start photo albums to give my kids someday. I'm also trying to include pictures of my hubby and myself into them so they can see what we looked like at thier age. My problem is i have to much to develop. I've also slacked lately with school starting i need to get back on that.

I haven't gone through a divorce either, but I seem to have slipped horribly on the picture taking. Well, that's not quite true...I have alot of pics on disk, and at "Snapfish". But I have tons of tangible, in my hands pics of Erick, and not so many of Hannah at all. His baby book is nearly finished...hers not hardly started. I feel so bad. But with yet a third child on the way now, I have to figure a way to work all this out so that the kids will all have their histories documented.

Thank you Kimmee for pointing this out. It is very easy to fall behind in this for a multitude of reasons, you may have just given me the kick in the pants to get working on this! I need some kick to get me scrapbooking again!

Tammy, I went and looked at my kids books...good grief am I behind...make you a deal, you aren't horrible if I am not horrible, LOL. I really should get on those. Course it'll have to wait until DD gets off of climbing all over me and goes to bed, but maybe I can fill in some tonight before I go to bed...and if i do a little here and there maybe I will be caught up by the time I have baby #3

don't tell Aimee but - I can't find her third grade pictures, I have everything else to this year (7th) and I think I must have left them in the "rush" to get away from Bob... But - I used a computer program to create one from her Third grade class pic, and I don't think she'll ever know...
See, there are so many ways to catch up the memory books with todays tech...

hmmm good point. I think I know the general months (based on her doctors appointments (ie, she cut her first tooth before her 6 mo check up, she was walking after the 6 mo check up but before the 1 year check up...) so I can kinda guestimate (sp??) from there i suppose. I can handle filling in the blanks with guesses. I suppose it'll be better than me leaving the space empty.
