Question where are you in your family cycle?

We have so many different ages and stages here - and I know alot of you know each other fairly will so this may be redundant - but - humor me!!

I am 41, I have three in elementary and middle school. Oldest 12, Youngest 9. I am divorced for four years now (was married for 11 years). Bruce,  my  boyfriend,  is 43 and is a grandfather seven times now, but his kids don't care to see him so I am not living the Grandma life yet. I'll just have to wait for Aimee (and that better be about 20 years!!!)

I think its interesting that though some of us are the same ages we got later starts, or are just basically living at different stages in our lives so I was interested to here where you all were...

We're both 43 (I'm 3 months older than he is), been married 22 1/2 years. We have 3 kids- Jacob is 20 and owns his own place, Doug is 17, a senior in HS and already enlisted in the Marines, he leaves next June for boot camp. And Deana is 15, a Freshman in HS.

Dh has ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease), and he's already outlived his prognosis by YEARS.

I'm an RN in critical care at a large teaching hospital.

Both dh's parents and my parent's health is poor. Neither set of parents planned very well for their retirement (dh's parents are in the midst of filing bankruptcy for the second time) so we help out with physical help, financial help, travel help and lots of emotional help.

I keep my 2 yo greatnephew on my days off work to help my nephew and his wife with day care expenses.
