Question Do they ever stop eating????

I'm sure you can all guess that I am refering to the bottomless pits otherwise known as my boys! My goodness, not an hour goes by without them foraging for food in the fridge or pantry. We had a huge dinner and here they are eating another "meal" and not just a snack. The only time they are not eating is when they are asleep. Maybe I should have them go to bed earlier and let them sleep in to help save the food budget!!!! Just because they are on a growth spurt (all 3 of them) does not mean they need to eat all the time!

I bought my fridge a few years ago wit this in mind. It has seperate snack drawers and a small entry door just for growing snacking teens. Its funny that at my stage of mommee hood I wish they would eat more - and at your stage (where I will be soon) you think "what the heck!!"
when Kip and I were kids my mom always gave all three of us the exact same sized proportions - to be fair because we didn't have much - but I remember Kip always saying that he was starving and I didn't understand til I was older - He literally was! When I realized it I vowed that no matter how much my kids wanted to eat that as long as it was good for you food - that could eat til they were FULL! I am so thrilled that their appetites are beginning to grow.

Mine does this all the time! Not 30 minutes goes by after a meal and I hear "I'm hungry, what do we have to eat?" And I only have the one! I can't imagine three

Teenagers are eating machines aren't they? LOL. I used to be amazed at how much food an average sized teenage boy could consume. Treasure these days though, they don't seem to last long, you blink and all your babies are grown. The fridge stays full, the pantry stays full and your house is empty.

Ds is only 10 and he eats non stop all day long! He can eat more than all of us (dh, dd and I) put together! I have no clue where he puts it, he is tall and thin!!!! He tells me all the time that I never feed him and that he is starving!!!!! I can't imagine what he will be like in a few years when he is a teenager!!!!!! I might have to get a part time job just to keep food in the house!!

Oh Debbie I can sooooo remember those days. At one time we had 4 teenagers living with us. It was hard work keeping enough food around.

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~
