The big Santa issue
Ok we tell our kids that Santa brings presents to good kids because he is so happy Jesus was born for us.
DS is now 10, we know he is not sure about the whole santa thing(kids at school saying it is not real, us saying santa comes ect.) and we want to tell him the truth on the subject but want to keep santa alive with his sisters 6 and 4. So ant ideas ob how to do this?

tough one.......my mother used to tell me that when I quit believing, I'd quit getting - not the greatest of approaches in my opinion.......
Perhaps you could let him in on the "parenting secret" and have him revel in the knowledge of being one of the "big guys"??
We've always told our kiddos the truth, they still get gifts left out (Magi gifts) but they've never blown it for another kid that I'm aware of......
My best to you - this is such a delicate subject for little guys.....

No advice here: my 8 and 10-yr-olds both still believe.
My parents told me when I was SIX. Bummer. I immediately ruined it for my siblings.

OR I was never officially told, I woke up one time and my uncle was putting out the stuff for his son then I knew, not just thought. So maybe we should just be a little sloppy and oops let him see something that santa brought in a closet or shopping bag.
I don't know
I really don't want to do it but....

I still remember how important I felt when I was able to help wrap and set out my bros gift. My mom told me we believe in the spirt of Santa and Christmas which brings joy to others and my brothers weren't old enough to know yet. She would let me know when we could tell them.
