    Default my black heart

I love it when my sons receive a surprise or get rewarded for being fabulous, or for just doing their jobs properly. It confirms for them that life really is good.

My son Kerry, who works as a chef in a hotel, yesterday received a Christmas bonus of $1200, the day before that, he was given a huge leg of ham for Christmas from the owner of the hotel "just to say thanks for doing so much for us". Last night he came home with a box of the most delicious, plump, red cherries. Cherries now cost around $10/kg, so that was a lovely Christmas surprise. He received the cherries from the fruit and veg supplier who told Kerry it was an absolute pleasure dealing with him and it was just a small token of their appreciation.

It does my black heart good to see people appreciate my boys.

That's so great! I LOVE cherries. Does your son do pastries too?
I'm glad he is appreciated and they treat him well. That's a great bonus. I bet he feels really good too.

Sara, he doesn't do desserts at all. They have a pastry chef who does it all on order. Kerry specialises in Thai food, seafood, curries and stir fries. He makes a mean baked fish dish that he sometimes cooks at home for his mum.

I love opportunities for mums and papas to feel exceptional proud of their kiddos - lnot like we don't feel proud of them on a daily basis - but that little extra that says others are noticing too! Umuhm! You go kerry!

I thought I was the one with an evil heart.
WTG Kerry on some jobs well done!
Nice to be valued & appreciated, your son has certainly made an impression on many people. You've done good evil twin, in raising such a nice guy that everyone loves to work with.

You have raised wonderful sons and it's so good to see other people appreciate them for the special people that they are.
