Default Help I'm going to go nuts!!!!!!

After having to have the kiddos away from the house for almost 2 weeks to help my sil move we come home to a big mess andds starts cutting not 1 but 5 teeth and these are the hard ones, the 2 top eye teeth,2 molars and one bottom tooth. Both kids have colds and dd was running a high fever for 2 days(thurs and fri)to top it off dh has been putting in major over time and doesn't get home till after dark.By that time I am ready to pull my hair out, cuase dd is becoming very whiny and ds won't eat or sleep and has become very very clingy.I need a babysitter so bad. This week doens't get any better cause I have to take dd to the dr on wed and my preg 15yr old neighbor to her dr appt on thurs.what do you do when everything turns into a big whirlwind?

I can remember periods of time like that when my children were young. My DH was always on duty when the kids got sick or an emergency came up ( DH is a firefighter). I remember one Christmas Eve when I sat in emergency with my DD. She had Chicken Pox and a double ear infection. When we got home I tried to open gifts with four year old DS while my DD cried and threw fits while I held her! All I can tell you is to keep saying to yourself, "This too will pass". I know how hard it can be. Bless you.

Prioritize and pull it apart piece by piece. Dr appts are nec, washing the kitchen floor is not. You get the picture, send the kids to be 1/2 hour early and take a bubble bath before you collapse! Keep your sanity and remember - WHAT DOES NOT KILL YOU-or make you kill them-MAKES YOU STRONGER. Good Luck!

Thanks, things seem to have been getting better since we are in some sort of routine now.i also started a " Good girl" chart for my dd.there are 16 things on the chart like, make bed,eat all of dinner witht the time limit of 30min(she likes to take up to 3hrs to complete a meal)be nice to brother,no whining,go to bed when told and on time with no arguments. For every completed job or behavior achievement she gets a star,if she gets atleast 8 stars each day for the whole week she gets her allowance and out for ice cream. She is doing really well and will come tell me she needs a star,I think most of it is she has that jealous bug in her and I thought it would pop out way before now,but her little brother just turned 1 and needs more attention than ever so I can see where she feels left out.SO we sat down an explained to her that if she does things in shorter amounts of times(like eating)then we wil have more time to play with her.So we are working on it and have done some fun things this week. Also ds has calmed down some too,2 teeth popped threw and the colds are just about gone. Now if I can just get him to eat,I think the bottle is going at the beginning of next week,it seems thats all he wants. Each day brings a new challenge and if I overcome it than i am even more stronger and if i don't well its always there for tomorrow
