Default Is there any other summer camp tradtion families out there?

Summer camp for me growing up was such a wonderful time. I went to a relgious based camp every summer for 5 years then became a camp counsler there for three more years. I always lived too far from the camp after that to help out or anything but when we moved to our new home now I am only 2 and half hours away from it. Both of my older girls will be going this summer and they are SO excited and so am I I know what a posstive time they will have and know that they will be blessed with fun, friends and morals, hard to find that kind of fun this day in age!

Any one else send their children to summer camps? Or did you attend as a child?

I also went to our church's camp- went back as a counselor until I had 2 kids of my own.

All of my kids have attended there as well, I go to work days and help clean, cook, etc.

Forgot to add that my middle son has been a counselor there for several years as well.

My oldest son does football camps, and this is the first year that my middle son is going to go to a camp. I went to Church camp when I was a kid also. The camps my kids go to range from 4 days to 6. Just long enough for a little break.

We do church camp. I went as a camper from the age of 7 through 17 and I've been a counselor (for the younger ages) from age 15. My dh runs our children's summer church camp now and we take our entire family. I love camp and introducing my own daughter to the fun is a true joy!
