rockets
Has anyone bought the rocket kits they sell in the toy stores? *gulp* Gabe bought one to launch. This thing actually comes with a little camera.
In all fairness, I completely trust Gabe with these types of things. He had a blasting permit for explosives when I met him. I guess I just don't like these types of things. (ie. fireworks, rockets, etc)
I saw it and immediately pictured my son in a few yrs becoming this mad child scientist creating homemade bombs etc. I know completely ridiculous, but well that's what I was thinking as Gabe showed me his "surprise" of the day.
If we're all feeling better, we're due to launch this tomorrow.

I don't like fireworks at all. I don't get it when people look at them and say "ahhhh".
BUT, I love rockets. I think it's a great thing to teach your kids - that this little rocket can be made to fly off at great speed. It might ignite an interest for science in Zachary and Ally.

Oh Ya, Jack used to set them off for us & when Mark was older he got to do them. Are they the Estee brand? something like that?

We had to purchase one for DS#1 for a school experiment a few years ago. It worked well. I was surprised. I was a little worried that something would go wrong....my paramoid side of me, but all went well.
