Well it happened again...The ER.....
So DD2 (2yrs old) had a CT scan from her 9yr old brother hitting her accidently with a bat on Tuesday.. Everything was ok... Thank goodess...............
Fast forward to Friday.. I take her to her PCP to get a recheck and all is great.. Go home and that night her 7yr old brother decides to toss a hammer her way and hits her above the eye and it is DEEP!!!!! Take her to the ER again and she gets FIVE stitches right in the eyebrow
We get done with that and I get a nice visit from the police.
They were just checking on the "story" that the ER Doctor was given... Then they come to my home at midnight to question my two boys and make sure that the adults of the home are not abusing anyone... No just two boys who don't think before they act.....
When all is said and done, the police were satisfied with the explanation and all is now well...
Oh did I mention that her eye looked even worse, because of a bug bite that happened right on the eye lid??? Her eye was swollen shut from that to begin with and even worse from the hit on the head.. I really should bubble wrap her until she is 18ys or longer.....
I don't ever want to see the inside of a hospital for my children again!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope your Memorial Day weekend is a lot safer than mine.....

Aww poor little thing. Hope those boys are starting to realise that they have to think before acting, with a police visit that may have helped. Hope she doesn't end up wearing a helmet, and full body padding around them.

Tough being a Mom, that's where the grey hairs come from I think. Years from now this will be the stuff that you'll all look back on and laugh & roll your eyes.~*Darlene*~

Poor little girl! She can't win. I am glad she will be ok though.
I know how you feel about the ER trips and the police coming to your home. We have been there, except the police never came...thank goodness. DS#2 hit DS#3 with a baseball bat above his eye and he got stitches. Then a month later he shot him in the head with the bb gun. I turned my back for a sec and pow! We ended up going back to the ER because it pentrated the skin. I made DS#2 go and tell them what happened. I didn't do any of the talking. I let them two tell the story. Within the month, we were back in there again because DS#2 hit DS#3 again, but with a golf club in the head. Yep, more stitches. I was thinking they were surely going to turn us in. I had to keep DS#2 away from DS#3 or no telling what else would have happened.
I know how you feel. I think bubble wrap would be a good alternative.
