Angry I am bullsh*t at my dh

We have an appraiser coming tomorrow to value the house for our refinance. We need to clean the house before anyone can step foot in here. So who has been cleaning, and who has been lying down watching tv all night???!!! The house doesn't need to be spotless, but the guy needs to be able to walk. Right now I need help cleaning up after dinner, cleaning the upstairs bath, cleaning the foyer, vacuuming the stairs, and cleaning out bedroom. I kid you not, he is lying on our bed watching Star Trek. I am down here cleaning--with no a/c (there is a wall unit in our bedroom where he is), sweating in 90º heat. Did I mention that I am also watching the kids??? So he's sitting up there doing NOTHING and is doing it comfortably!!!

What is up with this??? I've tried the nice approach, I've tried yelling, nothing is working, and I am so p*ssed off that I don't want to do any of it!

    Thanks for letting me vent

    Chelle

I would send the kids in to watch TV with him, then run in and out of the bedroom every few minutes to:cool off",and fair warning-tell him"one word about the house tomorrow and the broom could become a very close personal friend "My DH helps I guess I'm truly blessed...

    Hi Chelle,

I`m sorry to hear you are having a hard evening...

But Chelle, don`t do all the work. Doesn`t your Dh mind that the house is a mess if someone is coming tomorrow?

    (((hugs))) to you...

Lucie, nahh he doesn't care because he's not the one that will be here when the appraiser comes In his defense, he did start cleaning a little at 9:00...it's just too bad that he had to make me that mad before hand.

The appraiser is outside taking pics and measurements right now. He was here for all of 15 min

    I am glad it's over.

Does this apraiser come and check your house to see if you will be paying more taxes on your house or not?

We had someone last year come and inspect to reevaluate our house to see if there were any changes.

So you did lots of cleaning for 15 minutes? LOL! Hope you are not too tired today...

By the way, have a nice day!

    Lucie.

He was actually coming to see how much the house is worth now so we can have more in equity to refinance.

I am tired, but since we are attending a rehearsal dinner tonight (and will be out late), I am making the kids nap today, and I'll be there with them I hope LOL

    Hope you're feeling better--have a nice day.

Dh knows better than to veg when we are cleaning and I don't veg if he wants to clean. Cleaning is a FAMILY activity here. I agree with the broom becoming a close personal friend. DH coul dfind out JUST how close it could be!
