Need your frugal ideas for the weekend
What do you do on the weekend?
I need some new frugal ideas. Our weekends seem to be repetitive. Need to change it up some, but on a budget!~*Michelle*~

We live in farm country-- so right now, every weekend there is some sort of festival occuring near here. Pumpkin festivals, apple festivals, harvest festivals. . . . free music, entertainment, sometimes free drinks and food. We check the local paper for what's happening now.
Try the local theater center-- you can usually attend the dress performances for free .
Check college and HS calendars-- free concerts, plays (again, might need to attend the dress rehersals), poem readings, and other entertainment abounds.
Check the paper for church events if you are religious at all-- we frequently find plays, concerts, etc for free or free will donation only.
we also like to take long walks this time of year, and picinics in the park are pure pleasure now.

Check out some nature trails near you & pack a picnic. Never know what you'll see.

Often times we have friends over for a potluck meal or everyone brings what meat they want to cookout and we cook some veggies and someone usually brings a cake and or a salad. Cheap and fun.

We garage sale on Sat. a.m., go to the park to throw around a ball, fly a kite etc. Sundays we either have company for brunch or head down to familie's home, the beach etc.
