    Angry Minor husband rant

I had a pot of beans on for supper tonight, frugal, easy, load off my mind since it seems like I've been cleaning & picking up after everyone nonstop for two days. Well, I was pretty worn out so while the girls napped I laid down too. Philip was home, playing on the computer. I asked him to keep an eye on the beans (he's a great cook & he knew what I meant)

I wake up from my nap to a burning smell. The beans are irretrievably burned to the bottom of the pan, the smell is everywhere, & he can't understand why I'm mad! So he's left with Isabel to do some work at church, acting like a complete martyr.

I know it's my own fault, they needed water added at a certain point and I shouldn't have slept so long but dang! Sometimes he just makes me

O.k rant over, back to my normal, cheerful self - we all hope

Sorry the beans were ruined and that he didn't keep a better eye on them. Saving the pot for him to clean?

Oh no! I am sorry your beans were burnt.

I agree with Darlene, save the pot for him.

I can relate completely. My DH can stand over a smoker outside and watch a brisket or ribs all day long and never have a burned one but let him watch something on the stovetop for 20 minutes and he can forget and the entire dish is lost. It must be a testosterone thing, LOL.
