    Default I finally got through to my Mom

    My Mom knows we had to file bankruptcy. We have been going around and around about what she is getting DH, me and the kids for Christmas. Long ago I told her to just send me the money she would spend on a present for me for Christmas so I could put it towards the kids layaway. She kept saying she didn't want to send me the money because I wouldn't have a present on Christmas Day. I kept telling her that my present would be seeing my kids happy.

    A few days ago we were discussing a dress she bought Katie for Christmas and she brought up my sister and how she didn't know what to get her. She said I'll just give her money. WHAT???? So I said that is what I wanted you do to for me for Christmas instead of a gift! We went around about no present again.

    She must have thought about it, because today I got a check which said Merry Christmas on it. I would much rather have this than a present anyday.

    great! i am sure it will help.

    i asked my kdis for food for my stockpile, they about had a fit! but after 26 years fo marriage there is nothing i really need

    Ditto, money of food here too!
    But unless it was a gift certificate, money would go into general revenue not gifts for kids.......I guess I am a mean mommy....but a roof over our heads is MORE important.

    I ditto the typing lesons, Too. LOL.
