    Default A great Mother-Daughter outing

    Today Katie and I went to see Carolina Opera's production of Amahl and the Night Visitors. My high school chorus did this my senior year and we performed at several of the middle schools. I wasn't sure Katie would be into it, but she enjoyed it. She laughed at the funny parts, so I knew she was getting most of it. And she was in awe when the kings came walking in.

    The theater is a renovated church with gorgeous stained glass windows. It was a very intimate setting and not a bad seat to be had.

    After the show they were taking pictures with the cast, but Katie didn't want to have hers made. We did get a free music CD with synopses and snippets of all the operas being performed this year.

    It was nice to share this with my daughter.

    What fun! That sounds like a good show, and I'd love to see that old church. Glad you enjoyed your outing!
