    Default family life in pictures

Do you know any of these people? I think it's neat to look at this kind of stuff, piece of the past and reminds me of some members of my own family. Love those white sunglasses the one woman wears, lol.

    Darlene,
I thought I was the only one who liked looking at these kinds of pics. I love the dated clothes, furniture and I always wonder "WHAT ARE THEY THINKING ABOUT?" at the time the pic is taken.
The pictures that really make me sad are the ones you see in an antique store or thrift store. The really old, black and white ones of little babies and families. It just breaks my heart that they are discarded and end up for sale. Those pictures belong in someone's family photo album. They are someone's history. I want to buy them all and hang them on my walls, so the memory of that person isn't lost! And I would love to find the family members that they belong to! I know it sounds weird, but they really make me feel sad for the person in the photo.

I sure do know what you mean. Every picture has a story behind it and there are so many untold and lost ones out there. All we can do is make sure we pass along ours on to our loved ones with names and stories attached.

What a hoot! Ok Here is the smartalic coming out in me. They have all since passed on due to:
    #1 Alcohol
    #2 cigarettes
#3 inhaling too many fumes from hairspray
#4 The artwork of all the clowns on the walls in some of the pics. scared them to death. Ok, maybe that was only me. lol

Really though, Those are a lot of fun. I love looking at the lists from the grocery stores too. The things that really make me melencolly are the cookbooks.
