    Default Children's Meals?

Do your children eat the same things that the rest of the family does?

I said once my child starting eating regular meals, that I would never be one of those people that made special meals separate from what the parents ate....mmmmmm.... well, sometimes I do. One reason is that my dh is really picky, there is a ton of stuff he will not eat and i want ds to like all kinds of foods so I make good stuff for him that me and him will eat. Ds loves fruits, veggies, breads and pastas (which is great) but he doesn't like hardly any meat. I always put stuff in his plate but he is so hard to get to try new things. When I was growing up, we ate what was on the table or we didn't eat...lol....

Yes, my kids eat what we have for a meal. I don't make different meals for them. They've always ate what we have right from the time they were little. I'm thankful for that. Our 3 older kids were a whole different story.

We try very hard to get ds1 to eat what dh and I have for our meals, but there are many things we like that he just does not so on occasion he does get his own special meal.

90% of the time they have what we have. I may make a bowl of chili that is more mild or something like that, but otherwise I'm generally making one meal.

I make one meal and the kids have the choice to eat it or not. If not, then they don't get dinner or a dessert (obviously). I haven't had a problem so far.
