How soon were your toddlers out of their cribs?
Once they could climb out, they were into their own beds.

They were about two years old.. My SIL was trying to get my littlest one out of the crib and into a bed by the time she was 16 months old... I like to keep the kids in a crib until one-it is unsafe, or two-until they can come in a get me and/or let me know they are up...

Isabel was almost 3. She was just not interested in a big bed. Ingrid is still in a baby bed. She has not tried to climb out yet. I hope she'll wait until she's 2.

Ds was about 18 months, and dd about the same perhaps a little earlier. they werent' climbers, but both seemed ready for whatever reason I can't remember now.
It was time for another jump in freedom and learning to stay in bed at night and not falling out of bed.
I kept soft stuff beside the bed till they learnt to sleep without falling out.

We took dd out of the crib pretty close to 3........she loved it! Ds was a climber and was out of the crib at 16 months......scared me to death!! We have a 2 story house and had to put 2 gates up on his door....one on top of the other and I caught him at the top of the highest gate trying to get out of his room.......he was a stinker!

Jayme...she'll be 3 in June and still in the crib. She didnt like the toddler bed when we tried a few months ago.She doesnt climb out and will just sit there and play till someone comes to get her up....
I'll try the toddler bed again whens she's 3,unless she tries to climb out. I'll just take the crib down and she wont have a choice.
