Question Did you enjoy the toddler years?

Yes, even more so than when they were babes. They begin to have such unique personalities then and are so much fun.

Personality wise they are great!! Learning new things and finding out who they are is amazing to watch.. I don't like the constant stimuli they need... It can be so draining... My DSIS is an assistant b-ball coach this year, and her two and a half year old (as well as would my two and a half year old), cannot sit through a game, even with a twenty minute break at half time. That part of toddlerhood is tough... They are always on the go... Over all though toddlehood is very nice.

My dd is a toddler right now, and I am enjoying every second I can. I just know one day I'll wake up and wish she was a baby again. Of course, it gets tiring sometimes, but I am loving it.

Oh, my, yes. DD was a miserable baby (GERD makes for unpleasant little ones) and though I loved her to bits and enjoyed holding her while she slept, she could be really, really cranky.

She can still be really cranky, but she is SO much fun.

I remember saying to my sister one day, "She's so interactive now!"

    NO!

    NO! NO! NO!

DD#2 didn't slip through the night till she was almost 3. She developed language slowly, so there were MIGHTY tantrums whenever she was thwarted.

[Think about buckling 25 lbs of fighting mad into a car seat. And then there was the day that she pitched an enormous fit because SHE wanted to wear a doll dress. No amount of reasoning would convince her.]

And NEITHER one of them had a sense of danger as a toddler. Just keeping them safe was a struggle.

(Who'd think a kid would put locust-tree seeds in her mouth? Or toadstools? Or a nice shiny bit of glass?)

Now that they're KIDS, they are soooo much easier.

I loved the years my children were toddlers. They were so sweet and loving and there is nothing to compare to the feel of chubby little arms bringing you a handful wildflowers (or even weeds) and saying "I love you Mommy". Your heart absolutely swells with happiness and love.

I'm enjoying every minute of it! In my 20 yrs of being a parent, there has only been about 2 yrs that I didn't have a toddler in the house #5 & #6 are a little over 4 yrs apart. my baby is now 2 and he'll be close to the preschool phase when the new baby arrives.........I've enjoyed all the different ages and I can't wait to be a grandma....my house will always be blessed with children

I have a toddler and a 5 year old...I'm having soooo much fun with my 2 year old. I could just eat her up every minute of the day. When she walks she's adorable, when she sleeps she is adorable, when she cries she is adorable, when she talks, hugs, plays she is adorable, i'm so in love!

My son was so great too- but he zapped me dry of energy, she is much more mello.

Both very special- but YES i love toddlers.
