Did you or do your kids have a tree house to play in?
I remember having one when I was little. However our kids have never had the fortune of having one due to the fact we've never had large trees to build them in.

We had the neatest one when I was growing up. My dad and brother built it in a huge mulberry tree . They used old wooden doors for the platforms, there were two of them. In between them, they installed an old pipe that we used like a fireman's pole to get down from the tree house.
My dad built a tree house for the kids too-- he used old telephone poles for the base-- and had it completely enclosed with carpet and all that
He used old windows from mobile homes, and they had a rope ladder.

My sister and I desperately wanted a playhouse but it never happened. We don't have either for Isabel & Ingrid yet, maybe someday!

I had friends that had tree &/or play houses but I never had one. When we have our own place and property we will build (when I say we I mean Joe) a play area for Paige.

I grew up in a farm house with a real log cabin on the property. It had a couple of bunk beds and a little counter built in. We loved it.
My kids had Fisher Price or was it Little Tykes I don't remember now.
