No, we are the big meanies for it too. DBIL asked her if she would like a computer. I think he was going to buy her one until we said a firm no.

Yes...but not because I wanted them to. Last yr,Dh saw that WM had color TV's w/built-in DVD players and wanted to get of them one so that they would stop fighting over the TV in the living room. We also have the same TV in our room. We put all of them up w/those "things" like they use in hospitals.

Nope, and I'd like it if they never did.

    Nope.

There is a tv in the upstairs 'foyer/mezzanine' along with a computer (non-internet). But I can't even remember the last time either one was even turned on.

Yes, ds1 has one in his room - that way he can play his plug-n-play tv games and watch shows that we give him permission to see.

No, and there never will be one Philip and I have agreed, no computers or t.v's in kids' rooms. We watch very little anyway. Isabel has never actually watched t.v, only dvds or videos of some programs.

We have a small tv/vcr combo in ds2 room (which is mostly just used as a play room). It is used for them to play their plug and play games and an occassional movie. It generally does not get much use.

Some of them do. Breaks down like this:

DS 20-TV with cable and computer with internet

    DD 18-Neither

    DS 14- Neither

DD 12 and DD 8- TV with DVD/VCR (they share a room)

DS 7- TV for video games and computer no internet

    DD 2-Neither

We do have a TV and computer with internet in our room
TV and computer time is a reward in house. Bad behavior, bad grades, or failure to do chores will result in demerits and loss of computer/tv/video game time. Enough demerits will get the electronics yanked out of your room. And don't even think about playing games or watiching TV until homework and chores are done. Of the 4 kids in school 3 are honor students.

No, and I don't imagine they ever will. Right now, Julia's only 5. I can't imagine why she would possibly need a tv in her room. Pat has no interest in tv, whatsoever.

I never had one in my room growing up, and I did not miss it... I wanted one in my room after I was married and my DH said absolutely not.... Now all the kids want a tv in their rooms, and I keep saying NO, I would never see them again... LOL.... We have one in the livingroom for all tv/video game/dvd/movie watching...We have another one in the garage, but it doesn't work.... Later when they are older we *might* try it, but not now... I would rather them study, or read a book.
