Yes. They start out in their own beds but by morning either one or both are crammed into our bed.

I co-slept with all of my kids until they were btw 6-18mos (depending on which child). We still end up with the boys, especially the youngest, every now & then.
    They are more than welcome

only when they were scared or had a bad dream. Not that often but they were always welcome to snuggle in if they needed to.

Dd used to get night terrors, and she still has the most awful nightmares at times. The last one I recall, she was about 19 and she was just shaking and freezing cold. I tucked her in with me --my orders till she could warm up and not shake so bad. Took a while.

Night terrors are weird. they are like waking nightmares. The person is still experiancing the shock and terror of them for a time after they awake, and they are half in and half out of them for a while. They can talk rationally, but they are still seeing and hearing the dream and can't fully wake up.

Dd would wake up screaming from them, and in shock sometimes, shaking, difficulty breathing, freezing cold.

I found that she transitioned back to reality much better tucked in beside her dad and me even as a teenager.

We co-slept for the first 6 weeks with Isabel and for nearly 3 months with Ingrid. Ingrid still likes to 'con' her way in there sometimes We haven't had too many middle of the night awakenings here yet so I'm not sure if they'd want to sleep with us or not.

My younger one slept with me for the first year of her life. Then I slept with her for the next six months - as she got weaned to her own bed. Finally, I had to nix the nighttime nursing. Then she quit waking at night.

Yes our youngest slept with us. We finally purchased a crib mattress and put it beside our bed. when she would come to our bed, I'd tuck her into her little bed and she'd go right back to sleep. She did that until the mattress was too small for her.

When she fell asleep in our bed, her legs moved constantly. Hence the mattress.

nope. My kids after age 6 mos decided they would rather be left alone to sleep, lol. Now and then though if dh falls asleep on the couch, the two oldest will dogpile on him and they'll become a mass of snoring arms and legs, lol. When they are sick on of us will generally sleep in their room with which ever one isn't feeling well. But other than that, no we found that it doesn't work for any of us. But for the families it does work out for it's great!!

We never co-slept because we had never heard of such a thing when our kids were babies/toddlers. They do sleep with us if they have a nightmare, but we also let them sleep on the floor of our room too

When the boys were little they did sleep with us sometimes. If they had bad dreams or they didnt feel well. Or if they just wanted to, not very often though.

No. Sometimes I would lay down with them to nurse when they were a few weeks old, but that's it. DH & I were never interested in having the babies/children in our bed, and they always slept wonderfully on their own.

    Same with us.

If someone has a bad dream or wakes up for some reason, we will go to them and snuggle for a little bit, but then we come back to our own bed and they stay in theirs.

Even as babies, before they slept through the night, dh would bring them to our room where I would breastfeed, and when she/he was done, I'd take them back to their crib. They slept through the night (both of them) at six weeks and have always been great sleepers. We actually didn't even do bassinettes. From the first night we brought them home from the hospital, they slept in their crib in their own room.

It's what worked best for us and what we were happy with. I certainly know it doesn't work for everyone, though!
