Exclamation OMG 5 yr. old bossiness!

My darling sweet little angel, just stood here and, with hands on hips, shouted "I'm NOT taking a shower or bath!"

Where do they learn this from???????? I'm so shocked, usually she is really quiet and eager to please!

Hilarious! How did you react when she said that?

I am very patient, I would have laughed but then asked why? What did they ever do to you but keep you clean?

I couldn't stop laughing, which made her even more mad!

She did take a shower, though!

Sounds like she's practicing for those teen years & she's breaking you in a little at a time.

    LOL, I can identify!
Sometimes my ds gets like that, and I just have to say fine and let him have his way. Other times it is relatively easy to lighten him up and get him to go along with me.

Once kids hit that age they really start to become independant. Like Darlene said, getting ready for those teen years.

I'm glad she did take a shower.

LOL...that reminds me of a trip we took to Disney Worl when my daughter was 4.

She stopped, put her hands on her hips and said "If someone doesn't carry me I'm going to cause a scene!"

We all just laughed and asked her if she knew what that meant, she replied" No, but I'm gonna do it!"
