What are some things you like to do with your husband besides watch t.v.?
I like to play games with him on the internet
go to the movies when we can afford it
go out to eat when we can afford it
I would love to come up with more things that we would both enjoy doing.

We like to go to the YMCA and go swimming, we also enjoy going to the mall and people watching, we do enjoy movies also but like you it's not often since it costs so much, we tend to wait till they come out on DVD.
IN the spring and summer months we go for walks.

We play board games a lot. We sit and read together (exciting, I know
) We work puzzle books (like logic puzzles, crosswords, etc.). We watch a lot of movies together (from the library). We get together with friends at least once a week.

Well hubby and I like to watch movies together but that's sometimes a family thing too!
We love to go to the thrift shop together, we're always saying wow look what I got, lol
We only go out to eat on occasion, hubby is still on his diet so he has to watch what he eats.
I am still looking for some board games to play with the family, so far no luck finding any at the thrift shop.

We like to go to concerts together (Last Saturday was an example) and we go to several throughout the year.
We love to go to our caravan (Trailer) for weekends away by the beach.
We like to go looking for bargains too at the thrift shops.

Dh and I hang out together a lot. We really don't care what we are doing....as long as we're together
Usually on Saturdays we go into town and find a coffee shop we haven't been to before and sit and chat and people watch. Sometimes we go to breakfast.
We'll stop at Estate sales or garage sales if we see a sign.
We spend a LOT of weekends working on the yard together, going to nurseries, planting, and designing our gardens.
We sit on the covered patio and drink coffee and watch the fish in our pond...or the wildlife that comes in,
We cook together and grocery shop together, and try new recipes.
We go for long drives in the country or up to the mountains.
We go bicycling when the weather is nice, or I jump on the back of his motorcycle with him and we go for a ride.
We play scrabble.
Wash the cars
Tomorrow we are going snowshoeing!
But as you can see...we are anxious for spring around here!!!
In the winter, he spends lot of time in his shop/garage and I spend a lot of time in my sewing/craft room. But we always wander out to check on each other, have a cup of coffee....see what the other is working on.

This is kinda sad, but Dh and I dont do much together. We like totally different movies and have different hobbies. He refuses to shop with me (he'll wait in the car.) He's gone alot working or doing his fishing-hunting-poker nights-etc. I spend most of my time with the kids.

Gripey and I do lots of stuff together. Since our nest emptied out we do almost everything together except when he's at work and I'm here keeping the home fires burning.
Some things that we love to do together are:
Travel
Watching movies and t.v. together
Cooking together
Eating out
Working out
Card games
Long drives
Swimming
He sometimes likes to shop....
Working in the yard (he works I watch...well it's HIS hobby!)

Before DH broke his knee we liked to take walks together. He can walk again, but he is in too much pain by the time we both get out of work.
Other things are:
Traveling
Cooking
Watching movies
Shooting target
Gardening (when we used to have one!)

mermaid - I love to go motorcycle riding with me DH too!
Lots of what we do depends on warm weather - motorcycle riding, swimming, boating, etc. It's harder to do stuff together in the winter. We do go for walks if it isn't too cold.
I feel guilty lots of evenings because we are in two seperate rooms watching TV - we do NOT have similar tastes at all. I'm HGTV and he's Sci-Fi channel. He also doesn't like cards or board games.
So we do great in warm weather - not so great in winter.
I did think of one thing - we go to college gymnastics meets during the winter. Lots of fun!
As you can tell, my DH likes action-type activities versus more passive stuff like puzzles and board games.
Interesting post!

When Dh isn't working, you can't pry us away from each other
We do lots of things together:
*Read
*Puzzles/ Logic and Jigsaw
*Talk(We really love doing this;no specific topics but it seems to keep us "together" (Does that make sense?)
*Go out to eat/ Fast Food
*Watch TV/Movies
*Play games/ board games and cards
*We also people watch
*Go camping
*Go fishing(I don't fish; I'm his cheerleader)
*Go for drives in the country
Awww.....thinking of all of this, I have a huge grin on my face......I love my husband

I bought a tent last year. Dh thought I was nuts as we are just about to be empty nesters. I don't think I could spend a week in one but a couple of nights is great. We head down to the beach for a couple of weekends in the summer and just hike around go out to eat and enjoy eachother. And believe it or not we get passed out by some pretty energetic seniors on the board walk.
Other than that we go out to eat way too much, watch t.v. and go out to the movies, spend time on the computer together, read and discuss the newspaper, we prepare dinner together, grocery shop, plan out vacations and weekend getaways. We used to hike together before dh had cancer. He is pretty much cured now and it's a habit I would like to pick up again this summer. We work together around the house and in the yard. My dh works a lot of hours so not all of these things are done on a regular basis but when he does have time we spend it together.
