Does your husband ever say really hurtful things he doesn't mean and then apologise a short while later?

Well we have been married for almost 21 years (in May) so I am sure over the years we have each said something mean or hurtful and then apologized.........it doesn't happen often and it hasn't happened in years but in all honesty I am sure we are both guilty of it in the past!

We also have both been guilty of this, mainly in the beginning of our marriage!!

I learned real quick that a thought you can think away but the words never disappear!!

I'm more guilty of that than Steve would be. I have a temper, and sometimes I speak before I think
Steve is pretty much a laid back man.Hardly anything gets to him,so he has hardly ever said anything to me that was hurtful.
Bless his heart...putting up with me for 18 yrs. He must truly love me

This has happened before but not as much now since we've been together 14 years, but it does happen on occassion.

Yes it has happened several times. I also have done it I am sure, but he does it so much more than I do. He says stuff before he thinks.

While it doesn't happen often, I'm more likely to be guilty of this than he is. When we were first married it seemed like I was losing my temper almost daily. Fortunately (for us both!) that passed quickly.
