Home From Julia's Surgery
Well, we went in at 7:00 am and just got home at 12:30ish. She was very brave. Daddy went in with her until she fell asleep and then we were both able to go into the recovery room with her when she woke up.
The doctor said that Julia's tonsils were actually like those of an adults. She said that normally, children's tonsils can just be peeled out. Julia's are so large, and were so scarred, that she really had to work to get them out. She said that there must have been some infections that Julia never told us about in order for them to get so scarred. She said her adnoids were adult sized as well. Finding that out made her extra glad that she took them out.
Now, Julia and I are snuggling on my bed while she watches DVD's. Daddy is at ShopRite buying sherbet and ice cream and jello and pudding and stopping at the pharmacy to get her prescriptions.

to Julia.
It's good she was able to be released so quickly after the surgery. When I was a little, a Tonsilectomy required a couple of days in the hospital.
