Update on Daddy

They moved him to a rehab center today. They are going to do physical therapy there to teach him how to walk again. He is back mentally. I talked to him and he knew who I was and answered everything I asked him correctly.
He should be able to go home next week.
They said it was a stroke and from the tests he had had 3 small ones before.
They put him on blood thinner and hopefully he won't have anymore.

Sorry I missed your first thread. Sounds like he is going to be okay.

I worked in senior rehab, and rehabbed dozens and dozens of stroke patients- they can do amazing things when they set their minds to it. I'd see patients come in unable to walk or even talk, and they would walk out 6 weeks later, saying thank you as they went. I bet he'll do great.

I must have missed your first thread as well. That must be scary for him and for you as well. Sounds like he is doing better already though. Best of luck to him and to you as he heals.
