Default Presents for a three-year-old boy

I'm looking for suggestions for easily mailable presents for a three-year-old boy. I don't have children, and none of the people I know have young children, so I'm totally lost on this one.

To make it more difficult, I know NOTHING about this little boy except he likes animals and Thomas the Train (?). His mother is going through chemo, I am her card angel, and I wanted to send her little boy something for Easter.

Any and all suggestions gratefully received!!

My son is 3 and loves Thomas. At our SuperWalmart I have THomas puzzles in cute tin boxes. They look likelunch pails. The puzzle pieces are big, and the puzzle only has about 36 pieces which makes it easy to put together. My son can do these on his own. There is also Thomas the Tank at Target.
He is also really into puppies right now and Clifford the big red dog. He plays with the beanie puppies a lot.
    I hope this will help

That is so sweet. I have a 3 year old, and one thing for sure- they are easily impressed and not hard to buy for. You can't go wrong. Arts and crafts, Thomas stuff, books, puzzles, small age 2-4 games, etc...

Great ideas....they have a big Thomas the train selection at Wal-mart and Toys R Us... you can also find some great animal books, coloring books, etc at the Dollar Store/Dollar General.

Thank you for all the suggestions! I will check out the Wal-Mart and K-Mart in Placerville today to see what I can find.

Hey, I'm 40 and I *STILL* love Clifford the Big Red Dog.
