One of the State Farm agents phoned today to let us know what the payoff would be on the vehicle. He said it was a total loss, which we already figured it would be. They contacted the financial loan department where the car is financed and they agree with the pay-off amount, which I am very happy about. I was afraid we would have to pay something out of pocket, since we only had the vehicle for a little over 3 months.
The dealership contacted us this morning and they were very nice. They said he can come by and see if there is something else he is interested in. I told DS to start saving his money for a down payment because we wouldn't be able to put another $1000 down for him. He said he was going to ask for extra hours at work to help speed of the process.
He is still a little sore, but getting better. I know this is to be expected and it could have been so much worse.

I'm so glad that things are working out...slowly but surely. Good for him for saving his own downpayment.
