    Default Update on Niece

    Thank you to everyone who sent my niece all the nice cards last spring. She got got out of the hospital right before Christmas She will be returning to school next week until she needs more surgery again. All therapy will be out-patient. Thanks again! It has been a long long 8 months for her since the fire and she has lots of challenges left to tackle.
    She kept all the cards in a mail box and still reads them!

    Thanks Michelle! She still has so much to overcome. She had a visit to school before Christmas and unfortunately had to verbally defend herself. Ofcourse she got lots of attention being at school after 8 months. A girl said something to her like "at least I HAVE HAIR!!!" The niece replied something to the effect "of well I have courage and manners!"

    Also someone "from the internet" turned her name into an orginzation that sponsors kids for Disney trip. Now how cool was that!!!!

    Yeah it's sad but unfortunately that is how some people act. The niece is a tough little cookie with a sharp mind and can politely (or not so politely) put someone right in their place. She's a survivor!
