My DS is so excited to start college, him and his GF went out and bought some stuff for his dorm already
I am soooo very proud of him. He's my first born, even having him at such a young age (17) I always worried I would be able to raise him right, but he's a totally responsible young man, I must have done something right

I wish I buckled down 10 years ago.
My sister-in-law was just accepted to Montserrat, an art college, specifically on her talents. But now, since she slacked off for her entire high school career, she might not graduate and her acceptance to the college will be thrown out. So she's feeling the pain of her irresponsibiliy nippin' her in the bum right now.
But give my congrats to your son.

I so agree with every word.I would never have thought of asking Pop to buy me a car, not that he wouldn't or couldn't.It was the sense of responsibility he had instilled in us from a very young age. We worked ,bought our own and still did well in school. You did a good job Tracy. You must be so proud!

Congrats to you and your son!
What a wonderful future your son has ahead of him, full of promise and opportunities, and he has you to thank for giving him that solid foundation. I wish him the best of luck in college. I hope one day I will be able to see my dd achieve that kind of success (she's only 19 mos, so long way to go!). Job well done, mom! May you have many more opportunities in the future to be happy and proud of your ds as you watch him achieve his goals and dreams.
