Thumbs up Bragging on my DS

Today was the last day of school and I attended my son's 5th grade award ceremony. He received awards for Citizenship, A/B Honor Roll for the year, A Honor Roll for the past 9 weeks, the Principal's Award which is only awarded at the end of the year to one kid in each class and the President's Education Award. I am so proud of him! Not omly that, but his baseball team won their game tonight and now they'll be going to the citywide championships. It was quite a day for my little guy.

Michelle, my oldest is in 5th grade also.... for us, this was his last year in elem school - middle school starts in 6th grade *sniffle, sniffle*

Our 5th graders walked the "walk of fame" - each/every 5th grade class walks through the halls at the end of the day - ALL of the other classrooms stand out in the halls to bid farewell - and applaud! dang - I couldn't help it, I got teary eyed!

Congrats to your son! he should be very proud of himself!

Bumplett, what a cool tradition! I would've been beyond teary-eyed. Yes, my DS will also be starting middle school next year. It's such a big transition , going from elementary to middle school. It's hard to believe they're already taking that big step, isn't it?

    Congratulations to your son, also.
