Default Saw my baby off to camp today . . .

O.k. he's not a baby anymore, he's 12, but he'll always be my baby! LOL! He left for camp today for a week. I tried really hard not to, but got teary anyway waving goodbye to him on that big bus. I'm such a sap! I know he is gonna have such a great time with his friends and all the fun outdoor activities and a good spiritual time too (it's a Christian camp). I'm excited for him and will miss him at the same time. Isn't it hard (but good) when our kids grow up and become independent?

It is very hard when they grow up and become independent! I had to let one of mine go start his own life in January and it was one of the hardest things I have ever done.

I know your son will enjoy camp! He will so busy with activities that the week will go by fast. I hope you find something to keep you busy so time will go by fast for you too!!

Hoping that your son enjoys camp, and you get some relaxation during the time!

I sent my kids to camp this year too. It was really hard to let the little one go because it was his first time every at a camp. It was rougher on me than him.

Your son will have a blast! Try to enjoy that quiet time as well. The time will fly by and he will be back home before you know it.
