My exciting news!!
I was a little shocked and a little disappointed, but deep down I am excited!!!
My exciting news is..............................
I am going to be a grandma!
DS#1 finally told me Saturday that his g/f is pregnant. They have been together a little over a year and when he came home from Marine bootcamp, she got pregnant. I know this isn't the future I had planned for him, but as long as he is happy, so am I. He said they were talking about marriage, so I guess a wedding may be in the future as well. The baby is due in Feb. She is still here in Texas and he is at Camp Lejeune, NC. I didn't have a clue or I would have visited with her. After he left for NC, I haven't spoken to her but once and now I feel bad. I guess I need to check on her from time to time and see if she needs anything. She still lives at home and I know her parents are taking care of her. He said her parents were upset when they first found out, but are dealing better with it now. They call and talk to him and let him know what is going on with the visits and all. He has known for a long time, but was scared to tell us. I told him he shouldn't be afraid to tell us these things because I want to be part of the child's life too. He felt better about us knowing and also knowing noone was mad at him. He is suppose to call tomorrow and let me know what the sex, boy or girl. She is having a 3D ultrasound tomorrow that might tell or it may be to early. I hope they can tell so I can start shopping for girlie things or boy things. :-)
Ok, I know this was long, but I am so excited to have a little one in the family......I am not excited about getting old. LOL!~*Michelle*~

Congrats. I too became a grandma about your age. Sometimes life throws us surprises. Wish them luck and it is good they will be getting alot of support! At first I had "issues" with being a grandma so young, but when you see that little face, well.....Grandbabies can be a lot of fun!
