Question What were some of the first gifts you and dh exchanged?

I remember getting a great book on massages and aromatherapy, a stationary/journal set, and body lotions.

I remember giving books, food, and clothing. Gosh, I am forgetful on what I have given.

My very favorite gift from early in our marriage was a seahorse paperweight. It got lost and still upsets me that it's missing.

Our first Christmas my dh made a log cabin out of little dowel rods, it has a chimney made out of smashed brick and a wood shingle roof.... It is so authentic looking... I love it ! It sits on my mantel. That same year I painted a pair of boxer shorts with a little pillow talk written on it.... LOL He would just die if he knew I wrote that........

The first thing I ever remember giving him is a Tears for Fears cassette for his birthday LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! The same year for Christmas I gave him some new speakers for his car.(All this was while we were still dating.)

He gave me money on my birthday cause he wasn't sure what I would want LOL and for our first Christmas he gave me my engagement ring (I was 2 months pg).

Since being married,we've always given what the other has asked for pretty much.Things we needed, etc....

My first gift I gave him was a skill saw and the first gift he gave me was a 410 shotgun. If that happened nowadays, I'd shoot him with it.

In those days we did lots of hunting and I was determined to hunt with him. So a gun it was.

My favorite gift from him was 19 long stem roses on our 19th anniversary - it was a complete surprise. I was working and he had them delivered to me at work. That was quite some time ago now!!

Before we were even dating I bought him clothes, he bought me candles. Our first christmas together I bought him a shelving unit he wanted and a new wardrobe, he screwed up and bought me a gift certificate and a bunch of junk I didn't need or use!

My dh sent flowers at work a couple of times, he has also had them at home for me..... He doesn't understand why getting them at work is more fun.......
