daughters first sleepover
This is just wierd and now I wish I said no
A neighbor girl,9, who's lived down the street for 3 months asked my daughter if she can sleep over. I said yes and the girl went to get a bag of clothes. The parents never came over. As the girls were walking back to my house the girls parents got in their car and left.
Now this girl was telling me that her parents wrote a bad check for their rent and they are moving tomorrow because they are going to get kicked out Monday. She also said they don't know where they are moving to. Her sister and brother are staying the night at friends also.
Then she said her mom doesn't like my daughter because she talks too much.
This just seems very wierd and looking out my window I see her parents has not come back yet.
This girl told me she's in remission right now and has to take her pills in the morning so she said she has to go back home as soon as she gets up. I beleive her on this cause her hair is starting to grow back and she does look like she has battled illness.
I just find this whole ordeal to be just wierd. No more sleepovers here for awhile unless I know or meet the parents.

Did they come back yet??? What happens if they aren't and she needs her meds? What happens if they never come back...
Who the heck would LET their kids sleep over a strangers house? I don't even let DD go to a house birthday party to people I don't know without me!
(Like Sunday, DD is going to a house party... but I don't know the mother on more than 'face recognition', and you bet your butt I am staying. DD has allergies, and even though she tells the other parents, they have still offered it to her. Once it's out of the original package, DD doesn't know if it has strawberries or kiwi and trusts the adult... I did a mad dash from the kitchen of the last house when I realized the juice they just gave my DD was Strawberry-Kiwi... the 2 things on the whole planet that she is allergic to! (I carry a juice box with me) Argh!)
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Glad they came back. It does seem odd that they would just let her sleep over at someones house they have never met before. I couldn't imagine.
