Going To The Doctor Today....
Well today is DH's first doctor appointment in two months. He's been taking his injections for five weeks. Keep your fingers crossed that he gets some good news. He's developed a new sympton that he complains about alot so hopefully its just something normal that comes with MS, guess we'll find out.
Since my last post I've been doing nothing but filling out all kinds of applications for him and trying to keep my patience with him. Its like living with a 43 yr old child, always having to repeat things to him. Sunday was a good day and he kept himself busy with little things around the house but yesterday he was back to watching tv and doing nothing. I know alot of it is depression of what's going on medically and financially. My Dad and son all think he's depending too much on me and that I should just let things go and he'll get up and start helping out but I don't know.
With luck the doctor will release him so he can at least try to work though I don't see him doing all the heavy lifting, etc that he did there before. His manager told him if the doctor would release him today he would get him back in the store but law says if he has to be placed in a different position, they only have to put him in one if there is one available. We also found out that Missouri is a 'no fault' state and an employer can fire/terminate a worker 'just because'.... which sucks but that's life, right?
Anyway.... just wanted to let you know we are going to the doctor. Pray for good news! Thank you... don't know what I'd do without someone to talk/type too!

Good luck!
I think you have to be strong now & take the lead (which you've already proven by filling out the application forms). If you become weak now, it will hurt all of you.
I'd see his current moods as part of the medical problem/ symptoms, certainly something to work on when you're have more information about how things will evolve.

Good Luck today! Let me know what they say when you get home sis. Keep in mind I have a healthy husband and I still have to *remind* him what needs to be done...LOL! Maybe its a man thing and you are just noticing more because he is home!! Remember to ask lots of questions and push for some help with the meds since you wont have insurance if he cant work.

Well..... Went to the doctor and sat there and talked for almost 30 minutes. He didn't release him.... he's still officially disabled at least till his next appointment in October. They increased the strength of his anti-depressant.... I should of had him prescribe me one! *big sigh*
He told us to go ahead and reapply for Social Security and if there was anything he could do to help not to hesitate to let him know. He told us if he gets rejected again to look into a lawyer. That makes me think this is forever..... Just don't want DH to give up and not do anything.
I'm gonna have to get him to sit and talk tonight about at least having some daily chores that he helps out with cause I can't do this all by myself and stay sane.
thanks for being here!
